Notorious as it is thrilling, the Cardboard Classic challenges contestants to race down a portion of the mountain in a craft of their making; the only catch is that it can only be made with three ingredients: Cardboard, Duct Tape, and Glue.
You can download/view the registration form below. Best of luck to all who enter!
*All participants must sign a liability release and indemnity agreement. Those who have not signed, will not be permitted to race. Participants under the age of 18 are required to have a parent or legal guardian sign the release and agreement for them.
During the event, please be aware of your surroundings including other crafts, participants, and spectators. Participants are responsible for stopping their crafts after crossing the finish line. DO NOT rely on the safety fence at the bottom of the course to stop you; it is there as a last resort safety measure.
Each Winter Carnival we end the night with a Torchlight Parade and a Fireworks show. The Torchlight parade consists of skiers and riders, snaking their way down the mountain, from the top of Grizzly Peak, to Limited, and down Pine Ridge; all while carrying bamboo with torches attached. The parade starts at 7:00 pm.
Employees are given first opportunity to sign up for the torchlight parade and unfilled spots will open to the general public at 3:30 pm on the day of the event. Sign-ups at this time will be on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Ticket Office. Spots are limited.
*Please note: we reserve the right to refuse registration to anyone who appears to be under the influence.
