At Red Lodge Mountain, our employees are what make us great. We strive to let you know (and more importantly make you feel) that you are a valued part of our team, which is why we have recognition programs in place where each season we give a shout-out to those who go above and beyond.

Double Black Diamond Award

The Double Black Diamond Award recognizes an individual or team who consistently delivers exceptional customer service throughout the season. This award honors those who make guest service a daily priority, creating positive, memorable experiences through professionalism, attentiveness, problem-solving, and genuine care. Recipients demonstrate a sustained commitment to going above and beyond in their interactions with guests, setting the standard for service across the organization. Nominations may be submitted through your supervisor. At the end of the season, a committee will review all submissions and select the recipient(s) based on consistent performance and impact.

True Grit Award

The True Grit Award honors a Mountain Operations employee who has demonstrated consistent toughness, dependability, and a “whatever it takes” attitude throughout the season. This award recognizes those who show up every day ready to perform, in all conditions,  and who contribute meaningfully to the safety, reliability, and success of mountain operations. Recipients model accountability, teamwork, and resilience over the course of the entire season, not just in isolated moments. Nominations will be reviewed by a committee at season’s end, with recipient(s) selected based on sustained effort, attitude, and operational impact.

*NEW* Lift Line Legends Awards

The Lift Line Legends Award honors the unique individuals whose personality, spirit, and authenticity help define the culture of Red Lodge Mountain. This character-based award recognizes those who consistently bring positive energy, camaraderie, resilience, and mountain soul to the season. They create memorable moments for guests and coworkers alike and strengthen the sense of community that makes RLM special. Multiple recipients may be selected each season. Nominations are reviewed by a committee at season’s end.

*NEW* Summit Safety Award

The Summit Safety Award recognizes a Red Lodge Mountain employee who demonstrates an exceptional commitment to safety across the mountain. This award honors individuals who consistently prioritize the well-being of guests and coworkers through awareness, proactive decision-making, and leadership in safe practices. Recipients of the Summit Safety Award go above and beyond their regular responsibilities to identify potential hazards, respond effectively to safety concerns, and contribute to a culture where safety is always the top priority. Whether through preventing an incident, assisting during a challenging situation, or setting a strong example for others, these employees help ensure that Red Lodge Mountain remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
