What is winter carnival you might ask?
Winter Carnival is a 2 day extravaganza put on by Red Lodge Mountain Resort to celebrate skiing, winter, and our love of snow. Complete with live music, a rail jam, cardboard classic, and tons of prize giveaways, it's an epic way to enjoy a winter party.
Theme for 2013 Winter Carnival: Hot Dog - Classic Ski Movies.

Friday, March 1
5:00 pm: Early Cardboard craft registration and judging, Red Lodge True Value parking lot
6:00 pm: Cardboard craft parade departs the Red Lodge True Value parking lot
Saturday, March 2
9:00 am: Cardboard craft registration and Rail Jam registration, Mountain Courtyard
11:30 am: Transport your cardboard craft to the start line on Show Off Alley
Noon: Cardboard Classic Race
2:00 pm: Tom Catmull and the Clerics, Bierstube deck
3:00 pm: Costume Contest, Bierstube deck
4:30 pm: Rail Jam on the base area snow front
7:00 pm: Torchlight Parade and Fireworks
Red Lodge Mountain Resort operates under a special use permit with the Custer National Forest.
